New Creature in Christ

In light of these “new year new me”, “God is getting ready to move on your behalf in 2020” type post, let me ask a couple of questions:

Did you or did you not become a “new you” when you got saved?

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 🤔

Ephesians 4:22-24
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 🤔

Did God not ALREADY move on your behalf and make you complete in him and give you all spiritual blessings?

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Colossians 2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 🤔

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 🤔

What else is it that you are looking for God to do in this new year that he hasn’t ALREADY done for you? Hasn’t he already done enough? 🤔

Ohhh you want God to “bless” you with the natural things because you trying to keep up with the Joneses. Things don’t make you a new you, Christ does. So what exactly are you seeking in this new year? Gods approval or mans? Be honest with yourself!

Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Colossians 3:1-2
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

More knowledge of Gods word is what he approves, not more “things” in the flesh.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Grace and Peace!
